# Install Apps Using Self Service on a Front Row Mac
Front Row-managed Macs use **Mosyle Self Service** to install and update approved applications—no permanent admin rights needed.
Use this guide to install, reinstall, or update common tools like Slack, Zoom, Google Drive, 1Password, and more.
---
## What Is Self Service?
Self Service is an IT-managed app catalog preloaded on your Mac. It lets you:
- Install approved apps without needing an admin password
- Reinstall or repair broken apps
- Get OS upgrades pushed by IT
All apps in Self Service are pre-approved and safe to install.
---
## Open Self Service
1. On your Mac, press **Command (⌘) + Space** to open Spotlight.
2. Type **Self Service**.
3. Click the **Self Service** app to launch it.
If you don’t see Self Service:
- Make sure your Mac is enrolled in Mosyle MDM.
- If it’s missing, email **help@frontrowgroup.com**.
---
## Install an App from Self Service
1. In Self Service, browse or search for the app you need.
2. Click the app tile.
3. Click **Install** or **Install Now**.
4. The button will change to a **progress bar** while the app installs.
5. Once complete, the app will be available in:
- **Applications** folder
- **Launchpad**
You do **not** need admin credentials for these installs.
---
## Reinstall or Repair an App
If an app is glitchy, missing, or won’t update:
1. Open **Self Service**.
2. Find the app (e.g., Slack, Zoom, Google Drive).
3. Click **Reinstall** (or **Install** again).
4. Wait for the status bar to complete.
This will refresh the app with the IT-approved version.
